Hey there, I’m currently staying with my parents in a spacious 5,000 sq ft house. The router is far away and my current Wi-Fi adapter isn’t performing well—lag shows up when playing games or watching Netflix. Should I invest in a new network card? Would the Google Wi-Fi setup be enough, or would it be too much? I found this product on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Dual-Band-Wi...dpSrc=srch I’m really struggling with the slow speeds, so let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

What connection point do you possess? You can operate a wired link. The optimal approach involves securing ample unified AP coverage. One AP alone isn't sufficient. High-end Wi-Fi chips aren't particularly beneficial since many prioritize 5GHz performance, which typically offers limited reach.

The wired solution isn't available. I lack an access point.

You don't have an access point, which means you're not connected to Wi-Fi. I'll help you get some so you can access the internet.

Check for coax close to your router and your laptop. Using MOCA adapters will provide a stable connection, with speeds ranging from 400 to 800 Mbps depending on the devices you use.
