And yes, I discovered the 325Gb torrent on Archive.org and possibly plan to create a local server someday, though that moment hasn’t arrived yet. I suspect I was either distracted or working late when Intel announced the removal of years of support files—only realizing it now. It’s strange to consider why so many people would need to download a 325GB torrent just to get drivers or BIOS updates. That’s why I stressed the importance of individual downloads. Still, it’s impressive how many .mu .na sites offer these files and all claim they’re free and tested. I don’t need to rely on coronaIT or pay $15 for a BIOS file that might already include it. It’s like getting a free handout from the right place… Not that I push anyone to download, but it’s not something I’d recommend. Thanks for the quick response, The Solidwire.
Drivers for dated Operating systems will become harder and harder to come by, however running a newer OS than XP on many vintage boards will already have at least some support built in such as W7 on socket 478 for example, you'd have usb, audio drivers and so forth. Bios files are easier to come by if you look in the right places and ask the right people. But there's a lot of hardware out there from the past. And I mean a lot. 325GB of Intel drivers and bios files is nothing.
