Searching for a decent cooler for my i7 8700k within a $25 budget on Amazon. Expecting average performance since I haven’t overclocked yet. Need something functional right now so I can still play games at stock speeds. Updated March 25, 2021 by TTV BigRecoilz

At stock speeds it should be fairly easy to cool This is a great option for the price https://www.amazon.com/Quiet-BK008-Pure-...B01KVNCEIG Can't you wait though for your other cooler to arrive?

It stands out as the top choice in its category, though it costs a bit more than expected. For those with access to stock models, alternatives will suffice temporarily. Often these items end up discarded.

I recently sold many of my computer components, so now I just need a GPU and a CPU cooler that’s on its way, though they’re still delayed. I should have them in a few days.

I noticed that product is available on the 29th, and my real cooler should come in a day later. That means there’s no need for a temporary one if I choose this option.

I mistakenly listed it under $24 instead of $25.

Honestly, I’d just scan the market for a decent intel stock. Most people discard them, but they’ll perform okay here. It’s mainly a short-term fix. Someone nearby probably has one they’d gladly trade for a few dollars or nothing.

When it comes to short-term purchases, consider buying items like stock coolers and stick to a minimum rating of 120W.
