Trackmania was available for free, but its quality has changed a lot over time—still hard to say how great it is now.

mostly free titles are available on Steam and Epic Games, mainly centered around Warhammer 40k. Also, Farming Simulator 22 can be played for free on Epic Games.

TF2 remains available for download, though it may feel a bit choppy and cartoonish. Check the Hot Deals area on these sites; Paul Rudd often shares updates about games being offered at reduced prices for a short period.

I hadn't considered using steamdb for sales searches, but its filters are impressive... wow! My cart is getting full now.
