Broadcom offers 802.11a/b/g/n 2x2 with a cap of 300 mbps. Atheros matches similar specs, likely around 300 mbps though it may not work well with certain devices. Intel cards are outdated and only support older standards, probably limited to 300 mbps but not recommended. Consider newer options if available. I’d pick Broadcom if those are your only choices. I’d look for something supporting 802.11ac, for instance this listing could work: https://www.ebay.com/itm/124473507049 (dual band, up to 867 mbps). Another option is https://www.ebay.com/itm/392291762991 with 433 mbps Wi-Fi AC.

Do you have restrictions on using only mPCIe? Which device will you connect it to? I’d recommend the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260, likely the latest mPCIe card available.

Your Wi-Fi speed is significantly lower than expected. Besides that, AC Wi-Fi offers advantages like consistent performance and better coverage.

Are you certain it's an M.2 PCIe slot and not a M.2 A+E drive? "It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it." Every Wi-Fi update brings efficiency and security gains.

It includes it, I’m connecting via my home Wi-Fi and nothing significant is running on my PC.
