I'm wondering if the B550 Msi Edge requires a separate Wi-Fi card or if the built-in antenna functions adequately. It seems unclear whether the board has a Wi-Fi module installed or if the existing antenna works without it.

WiFi works best on ITX boards. For bigger sizes, use a PCIe card or USB adapter.

You should use the card to connect to the Wi-Fi.

You'll require a PCIe card or USB adapter. Bigger form factors usually lack M.2 slots for WiFi cards.

You're attempting to add a WiFi card to a motherboard that already includes one. The MSI MPG B550 Gaming Edge WiFi is named with 'WiFi,' and there should be antennae sockets available. If this matches your board, it likely has an Intel AX200 adapter already installed, supporting WiFi 6 and earlier versions. If you can't use WiFi, you'll need to install the appropriate drivers first.
