Hi, I explored PCPartPicker and found the I5-6500 is a solid CPU. I’m unsure which motherboard fits best since my budget is around 140 CAD, and the options seem limited. Let me know if anyone has suggestions. Thanks!

Your investment in the 6500 isn't particularly impressive when viewed through today's lens, and it seems you might be missing out by sticking with older technology. Modern alternatives could offer significantly better performance.

It’s around $60 more than expected. The 12100F matches the cost and offers double the performance compared to similar motherboards.

The issue is that I'm not part of your shipping program, which could make it too costly...

If I can bring the 6500 down in price compared to the i3, will I still be able to get it?

I wouldn't. The current i3 offers superior performance compared to the i5-6500. It's an outdated processor lacking modern features, and using it would limit your system's capabilities for years to come.

It's also important to note it's a F series processor, meaning it lacks built-in graphics, so you'll need a dedicated graphics card. Apart from that, this CPU performs significantly better compared to the 6500.
