Hi everyone, I've been a bit away from PC components lately and would love some expert advice on motherboards. I'm switching to an i7 8700k from my 6700 and planning to add a GTX 1080 FE, 32GB DDR4 RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD 970 Evo. I'm thinking about overclocking the CPU to about 4.5GHz and am open to buying used, aiming for around $110 USD. Any suggestions?
By default, the 8700K turboes run at 4.7GHz, which means it's actually an underclock.
8700k refers to the clock speed of the CPU. The prices you mentioned are for different motherboards, not the CPU itself.
