It seems you're observing a feature where typing into a search bar and pressing enter launches Edge automatically. You're wondering if it's possible to switch the browser used by the search engine to something like Chrome, Firefox, or Opera. Since you don't frequently use Edge, your question is clear—would changing the search engine's browser settings help you find answers more easily?

I previously used this resource, but I'm not sure it functions today. Currently, I disable the edge feature in my firewall. It bothers me a lot.

I believe we should all notify Microsoft about this issue on a large scale, as it seems to be a significant problem. There should be a global setting for the default web browser, and ignoring it undermines its intended purpose.
