I've set up my Sky Q Hub in the main living area with the telephone socket nearby. The signal seems weak in the garden and back of the house. Because the router is near the front, I can't run long cables. I was thinking about adding a Wi-Fi extender in the second bedroom for better coverage. I found a TP-Link N300 that looks affordable and should help extend the signal easily. My main concern is whether using both the existing SSID and the new one will show two networks or just one. Ideally, I want only one network visible. If the TP-Link N300 supports mesh mode, it might simplify things; otherwise, I need to look for a more cost-effective mesh solution.

Thanks. I noticed that, which is why I checked if it would generate another SSID with the identical name in the network list.

For my setup it would be one SSID. I'm using an Asus RTAC 68U as a router and a TP-Link PowerLine adapter with built-in Wi-Fi. Make sure both have the identical SSID and password.

When the wireless roaming standard matches across both devices, you'll share a single SSID. If they don't work together, you'll notice two SSIDs sharing the same name and password.

Thanks for the responses. I've also noticed two more TP-Link products, the WA860RE and the RE200, all priced similarly. My goal is to use them in my garden—about 5 meters away from the house exterior wall—and stream Spotify and Netflix in HD while browsing the web at the same time. Would these devices support that setup at that distance?
