I see the problem when trying to remove an app like iTunes. The error message indicates a missing script file at c:\programdata\microsoft\windows\officeicon.vbs. I checked that it isn’t there, but it’s still running during uninstall. I suspect the issue isn’t with the script engine itself, but rather with the setup. In Regedit, the VBS type seems correctly mapped. I tried repairing Office and found similar problems, though others seem to have the same file missing. A suggestion was to create an empty officeicon.vbs file, but that only masks the symptoms without fixing the root cause. I also ran SFC /scannow and didn’t see any errors.
