Hello everyone! I'm trying to take off the heatsink from my laptop to replace the CPU and GPU thermal paste. The screws on the CPU/GPU part don't move at all, even though I managed to unscrew the ones next to it easily. I'm confused about why this is happening. Could you help me figure out what's going on? Thanks! (For reference, my laptop model is GL553VD and I've attached a picture of the screws.)
Laptop screws can be tricky to turn, particularly with limited grip from small screwdrivers. After installing an SSD on my mom's laptop, I needed another person to steady it so I could apply enough force to remove the old hard drive screws. Would you have a different screwdriver that provides better control? Or do you have someone who can help hold the laptop steady while you unscrew them?
