Screwed up big time
MSI tomahawk b350
Ryzen 5 1600
Corsair vengance RGB 3000mhz
Running Windows 10
I was trying to overclock the CPU to 4 using Ryzen Master, but it locked three of my cores. I found forums suggesting to forget Ryzen Master and overclock via BIOS. I reset everything and restarted, then went to BIOS to overclock both times with voltage set to 1.425 (both methods meant Ryzen Master and BIOS). Now I’m checking how to reset the BIOS and saw a suggestion to jump JBT1 for 10 seconds. Before doing that, I accidentally pressed JCI1. I’m unsure if this caused any lasting damage, but my USB devices and monitor aren’t receiving signals. The GPU fans are still running and all lights are on.
Shut down the entire system, remove the battery for half an hour, then reinsert it and restart. This should reset the BIOS back to its original settings (including date and time). If you turned off the power abruptly during a mistake, it shouldn’t cause issues. Always disconnect power to the whole PC before working on it.
