Installed a new PC and after roughly nine months it began showing a black screen during gameplay. It would occasionally restart briefly after the blackout for about ten seconds. I brought it to a micro-center which confirmed no hardware faults, though the problem continued. After a reboot following the black screen, the VGA LED would activate on the next boot but wouldn't turn on properly. The system had been reimaged, BIOS updated, and multiple driver updates applied. An event viewer logged a RAID port 2 controller error, prompting an SSD firmware update. I'm uncertain about the next steps and would appreciate any guidance. Internally temperatures and usage seem normal. Specifications include: Rog Strix X670E-F WD_Black SN850X 2TB NVMe Zotac 3090 Trinity OC GDDR6X AMD Ryzen 9 7950x Trident Z5 ddr5-6000 EVGA SuperNOVA 1000W G6, 80 plus gold.

Asus's poor performance with AM5 boards suggests a possible issue with the motherboard. I'm curious if anyone owns an MSI or Gigabyte AM5 board? For details, you can check Gamer's Nexus or JayzTwoCents for recent content on the topic.

Jay recommends being cautious with beta BIOS installations as they void your warranty. Look for the latest BIOS compatible with your board that isn’t labeled alpha or beta. A BIOS update might resolve the issue if a stable version is available.

Note: Missed the fact you flashed your BIOS—likely a faulty motherboard. Consider reaching out to Asus to file an RMA if needed.

They should respect it, particularly since he purchased that board just nine months prior. If something similar occurs with my board and they fail to honor it, that would be the final ASUS product I ever purchase.

I'll process the replacement in stages—mobo first, then SSD, etc.—if it doesn't resolve the issue

I would prioritize the motherboard, then the GPU, and finally the CPU if the motherboard isn't resolving the issue.
