Hi everyone, I’m dealing with a problem where my screen looks faded. After playing NFS Heat, my PC shut down and restarted immediately, showing a washed-out display even in games. I’m concerned it might be related to my graphics card since this hasn’t happened before. I’ve checked the HDMI cables from both ends, updated the GPU drivers, restarted the computer, but the issue persists. Anyone know what could be causing this? Could my RAM be contributing too? TIA – it seems the graphics card is likely the culprit. I’ve set the color range to full in the Nvidia Control Panel settings.

The process remains consistent regardless of the display you use.

Unfortunately, I don't have another screen or TV connected for use.

Your CPU includes an integrated GPU, so give it a try. Plug the HDMI cable into your motherboard. (It might help to remove the GPU if it doesn’t function properly.)

I've connected it to your motherboard again, and everything seems fine. The GTX 1080 Ti worked properly after the reset, and the screen returned to normal. It's possible your GPU might be failing or experiencing issues.

It would be important to put that card on a different machine. You might also consider reinstalling everything from the beginning or trying a different card.

I figured it out by looking at another of my posts to verify the HDR settings in Windows. I turned it off, and everything is back to normal! > Windows Settings > System > Display > Turn off HDR
