Hello, I noticed you returned from school yesterday and found the monitor going black when logging into any user account. The login interface appears normal, yet everything seems lost. Your mum doesn’t recall if she was prompted to install anything, saying it just happened. Could you help resolve this issue? I can share more details about Task Manager if needed. Thanks in advance. Matt
Sure, I can try that. Just confirm you want me to proceed with these steps.
Hi, please follow these steps:
1) Restart the computer and press F8
2) Choose "Repair my computer"
3) Pick the keyboard layout and language
4) When you see system recovery tools, select System restore
5) Choose a restore point from when everything worked and restart.
That’s the process. If you don’t have restore points, try startup repair.
They use this system...just sit through the extended wait. All attempts to close and reopen haven’t helped. Tried startrep, but it failed. Keep following the discussions!
The system restricts access to the F8 settings. You can only use DEL, F9, or F12. Pressing F8 normally starts the boot process without entering those options. To reach F8, you may need to reset the computer or consult manufacturer-specific troubleshooting steps.
