Hello, before we begin, here are your PC specifications: CPU Ryzen 5 3600, Mobo Asus b550-A, GPU Asrock AMD Rx 6600, 8GB RAM, Monitor MSI Optix MAG240CR at 165Hz (freesync works at 144Hz), DisplayPort cable from Ugreen (previously the one included with the monitor), drivers version 23.12.1. The issue is that when I enable freesync and play videos in full screen or run games, I get a black screen. Restoring the screen requires turning off and on the monitor. Turning freesync off resolves the problem completely. I've tested all drivers; I own the Rx 6600 since its release (around $350 when it was at peak performance), before that I had a GTX 1070 Ti and I used freesync without issues. I also tried another MBOA before (Asrock b550 Extreme 4) and other DP cables, but nothing changed. The only solution is to switch off and on the monitor to use freesync properly. Anyone have any advice?
