So my main focus is playing CSGO, around 100% of the time. I don’t need a powerful PC much at all. But I own it and usually everything works fine, even when using my movement keys w,a,s,d there’s no tearing in the walls... however, when I move and then move my mouse it starts to tear. I reformatted this morning due to this problem, but it hasn’t been fixed yet. I’m running out of options and would really appreciate your help.

It doesn’t seem to be related to changing my graphics driver versions—I’ve tried a few, both new and old. I don’t think it’s connected to my GPU or CPU. It feels more like a monitor refresh rate or in-game FPS synchronization issue. I can’t enable Vsync in CSGO because it causes serious latency problems that aren’t acceptable in competitive play. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Here are my details:
Manufacture: Made myself
Case: Thermaltake Commander G41
OS: Windows 10 Home 64
Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC Mate
CPU: Intel i7-4790K (OC @ 4.4GHz)
GPU: GeForce GTX 970
Memory: 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws X Series
PSU: EVGA SuperNova G3 750w
Cooling: Corsair Hydro Series H60 & 6x Corsair 120mm Fans
SSD1: Kingston 120GB SSD (OS SSD)
SSD2: Crucial 240GB (Steam SSD)
HD: Asus 1TB Black (Storage HD)
Also, a 144Hz monitor.

Turn Vsync on in NvidiaCP or application control and let the game's Vsync work. Test both settings and limit the frame rate to 143. Extra frames act like a phantom buffer and won't cause noticeable input lag. Used this on a 60Hz monitor before—it felt smooth. I'm very aware of input lag too, especially back when I was a competitive CS and Tfc player.

Usually I hit around 250-300 fps in a 5v5 match without any issues... and VSync problems pop up with your latency in CS:GO and I just can't handle that... VSYNC is a total mess in CS:GO... I'm just trying to fix this... It's never happened before... something must be wrong.

I'm not sure. It might be a CSGO update or a change in monitor settings affecting visual processing. Try setting the cap to 1 frame below refresh and you shouldn't notice the VSync effects.

What does yioiu mean it could be due to my monitor and visualk processing? I think it might be related to a refresh rate issue or mouse input problems affecting the timer reset. It’s something I’m trying to figure out...

Check the monitors' menus for extra options. Consider trying -1 fps under cap with vsync on, even if it's new to you. I'd like your thoughts.

It's not exactly what I was aiming for, but I'll give it a shot since I'm curious. Maybe it'll help me find something else. I'll get back.

I often miss things... the mouse polling rate was 125, not 1000... issue resolved.
