Hello, I bought a 165hz / 1080p gaming monitor along with some PC components for my new gaming rig. Once everything was set up and I started playing games, I encountered a problem. The screen shows vertical lines across the entire display at random moments. Leaving it off for about ten minutes fixes the issue completely. Online sources suggest this might be due to overheating or cooling problems with the monitor. It’s not just isolated lines here and there—it affects the whole screen. Even when I disconnect the cables from the PC, the lines persist. The color of these lines also changes depending on whether the monitor is multi-color or standard. I have another one coming soon, but I wanted to check if a solution exists. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
It seems the display might be overheating, which matches what happened after upgrading my GPU. Poor thermal management led to excessive heat and artifacts. It appears either the GPU or monitor is the culprit.
