I purchased a brand new Asus TUF laptop for school a few months back. It worked well for homework on Saturday. There were no problems before then. Now the screen won’t turn on at all. I’ve tried power cycling it and holding the power button for minutes, but nothing changed. It boots quickly because it’s new (RTX 4070, Ryzen 9) and fully charged. I plugged it in for a while but saw no action. The status lights and keyboard lights are normal, yet the screen stays black. I remember the backlight sometimes lit up at first, but now it’s completely off. I’m rushing to my final exams in two weeks and don’t know what to do. Any suggestions? 75365978247__E5357D70-0737-46C3-A0F5-CA22B40E79D2.MOV

Use a very bright flashlight on the screen while it's supposed to be off. If you can see anything, the backlight isn't working. If not, connect an external monitor and test it. You might also find a way to turn the built-in display on or off using keyboard shortcuts.

It isn't the backlight issue, and the external screen didn't respond. I don't see a key shortcut to switch the display on or off.

Did toggling capslock and scrlock affect the lighting? If not, the system failed or didn't send a response.
