This discussion spiraled out of control. A fullscreen, borderless layout typically resolves most issues and is the preferred configuration for compatibility.
I see, his design looks a bit off-balance. (My setup is all random pieces I gathered.) He’s got a massive motherboard and a powerful cooler for that CPU, plus way too many fans and a huge case. It could have been simpler with a better power supply, some non-blue RAM, and an SSD instead. Your comments might be making others dislike you. After reading the chat you shared, I’d probably support @REX.exe. This site is for people who study computer parts and builds all day—he’s given fair feedback, which he did. Next time, maybe listen to his advice rather than reacting with frustration.
to give constructive feedback you should phrase it in a way that doesn’t hurt the person you’re addressing. I agree, his build looks a bit off-balance. (mine is similar but mostly random parts i gathered). he has an oversized motherboard and a powerful cooler for that cpu, plus too many fans and a huge case. maybe a better power supply would help, and some RAM in a different color would be nice. it would have been better if the conversation was more calm. after reviewing my saved pc list in pcparts picker, i noticed i had five cooler master fans—no reason they were all there. i only bought one because the back fan in my case got stuck. i might have found a better psu later. the overkill part of the motherboard isn’t necessary, i didn’t buy a case myself, and blue rams aren’t really an issue.
I don’t have major concerns about the construction; the blue RAM is just a personal choice. It doesn’t align with the overall colour theme of the system. The motherboard felt a bit excessive since you’re not taking advantage of extra features like more PCIe, SATA and USB ports. If this was the only reason for choosing it, I get it. However, with something like this, a mid-tower or even micro ATX or mini ITX case with a suitable board would work better. You didn’t need an H110 cooler for an i5, that would require significant overclocking—I can’t comment since I barely use mine.
