Details: EVGA FTW3 3080 Ultra (undervolted), I9 9900K (original), Noctua NH-D15 32GB Crucial Ballistix RGB RAM at 3600MHz, MSI Z390-A Pro Mobo, Samsung 970 EVO 4x, Seagate Barracuda 2TB, 850W Thermaltake Toughpower, Windows 11 22H2 64-bit. At the moment it was just active on Discord and YouTube, but the screen began to glitch. All three monitors briefly flickered before doing so, and received numerous error messages about NVLDDMKM during those moments. It hasn't happened again, though I'm worried about what this means and whether something is wrong with my setup. I've experienced similar NVLDDMKM problems before with game crashes, and I've already reinstalled drivers via DDU, but crashes still occurred afterward. The first image shows the event viewer during that time, and the second captures the screen glitches I'm describing.

It refers to VRAM problems unrelated to drivers. Closing Discord doesn't typically cause this issue.

I mentioned it hasn't happened again since then, though I kept Discord open throughout the time the problem was happening. I’m still using it, so I don’t believe Discord is the cause. I wanted to clarify that I minimized all the tabs on that monitor during the issue, and the screen glitch persisted even after doing that. It seems the problem wasn’t limited to just that app. I edited this comment on February 5, 2023, adding more detail to my response.

It seems like you're wondering if the issue could be related to the driver settings. Consider reverting the driver configuration.

I also experience problems with NVLDDMKM where games crash. Recently I increased my gaming resolution to 4K using a M32U monitor, which might explain the issue. A game crash error message appeared in Event Viewer—check for any links between it and your problem.

I've attempted the fix before and it didn't work as expected. I'm planning to roll back the driver again. Do you know which version should be targeted?

I observed your 3080 running at an undervolt level. Have you tested it using the standard or default configurations to check if the problem continues? The undervolt might have become consistent now.

Attempted without undervolt, couldn't immediately reproduce the problem, but haven't managed to do so with undervolt settings either. The screen glitch occurred when nothing was active, suggesting it wasn't caused by an open application. GPU temperature stayed within normal range (79-85°C) during normal play, though I experienced cooling issues earlier due to improper fan alignment and exhaust blockage. Considering a temporary return to stock might help determine if the issue persists.

Attempt that, since silicon can deteriorate and adjustments like overclocking or underclocking might become inconsistent over time. This phenomenon is commonly referred to as degradation.
