I thought my motherboard was failing because sometimes it would drop video, audio would cut out, or freeze. After that, the Bluetooth driver got corrupted too. I bought a 4090 and a Thor PSU 1200, so those issues were resolved yesterday. It happened again today—first time I tried booting and it failed when entering my pass. I unplugged the PC, turned off the PSU, waited until power was off (lights still lit), then restarted. After about 20 minutes it repeated.

I downloaded the latest BIOS for my X570-e gaming board on November 5th and attempted a flashback using a 12-year-old USB drive I found in Canada. It worked before; it finished, booted normally, and showed the motherboard light. After that, I saw the Rogstrix splash screen asking to press DEL or F2 for BIOS access—it just restarted and then froze, showing a black screen. Pressing F2 didn’t help; it went straight to the black screen.

Anyone know what to do? My board is nearly four years old. Also, I’m considering upgrading from my Ryzen 9 5900x to an X3D CPU, since games like Hogwarts Legacy and Starfield often struggle with low FPS. Would a Ryzen 7 5700X3D be sufficient (given my 4090 OC), or should I go for a better Ryzen 7 or even the Ryzen 9 7950X3D?
