I was playing Elden Ring when I exited the game and the screens went black, with one flickering. After turning off the PC and checking the connections—especially the graphics card—I restarted it but Windows wouldn’t boot at all. I’ve used Windows 11 installation media and even reinstalled Windows, but the problem continues. I suspect the M.2 slot might be faulty. Anyone have suggestions or other troubleshooting steps I can try?

Recent fix, it seems to be a GPU problem. I connected a monitor via HDMI to the main port on my motherboard, and it’s now functioning properly. Still unsure what’s causing it; I’ll need to perform a DDU and see what happens.

It seems like a dry take on a frustrating experience—maybe an unexpected automatic change hit you the wrong way. Not exactly exciting, but it’s a common occurrence.
