I assembled my system roughly eight months back and everything worked smoothly. It features an I9 13900k with 64GB DDR5 RAM from Corsair Dominator, paired with an RTX 3070 Ti and two Netac M.2 drives (one 2TB, the other 1TB). A 1000W Corsair PSU is also installed. Recently, it began experiencing crashes and displayed a blue screen of death with the Windows stop code WHEA uncorrectable error. I brought it to a repair shop, which identified a failing SSD as the issue. They replaced it and performed a fresh Windows 11 installation, which ran well for a while except for a slight drop in frame rates. Now, when launching "No Man's Sky," the program fails to respond and then crashes. The machine also freezes when nothing is open, showing a blue screen with the Windows stop code indicating a critical process failure. After restarting, it powers down completely and doesn't appear on any monitors. To resolve this, I had to disconnect all components simultaneously and wait about ten minutes before rebooting. I checked the Windows Event Viewer, but no errors were recorded. Any suggestions on what might be causing this problem?

Are you experiencing issues at 0%? If so, I wouldn't trust this new SSD. Most recent WHEA failures stem from faulty NVMe drives. Do you recognize the brand and model of the SSD in question?

Check prime95 largeffts for stability issues. The system might crash due to unstable RAM or a critical program. It's a 64GB setup, possibly sensitive to DDR5 speeds. What speed is your RAM running at?

It displays the blue screen and attempts to restart before reaching the 0 percent point. Once that occurs, it disconnects from my monitors and stops showing any output until I completely reset the computer. I only know the new M.2 is a Netac 2tb.

I'm operating at 5200mhz on dual channel. I'll take a closer look. Thanks.

The quote was meant to indicate the repair shop probably had the right idea, not to address your present problem. It seems unfamiliar with that brand, but it could signal lower quality control. If you have another drive you're comfortable erasing and reinstalling Windows on, yes—completely removing the Netac unit while testing would be a good approach.

The only other storage options I have are mechanical hard drives, but their condition isn’t perfect since I acquired them from used PCs. I might be able to replace the SSDs and install one or two HDDs to test if it functions properly.

Load troubleshooting mode, wait while loading. Set to advanced, then remove the latest Windows updates.
