Core I5 8600k with gigabyte gtx 1080 wf oc, gigabyte Z370P D3, evga 650w bronze, evga 240 AIO CLC, intel optane 32GB.
For a while I used this setup without major problems. Recently the screen would freeze occasionally, and the issue has grown stronger, making gameplay increasingly difficult. I suspect it’s not a temporary problem because the cooling system works well and I have four fans (three in, one out). It’s puzzling since my frame rates remain solid at 110-120 FPS in apex, especially during tougher games.

What are your temperatures during load or gaming? Is your system running overclocked? Are your drivers current? Is Windows up to date? Have you attempted a fresh installation of your Nvidia drivers?

I just checked the temperatures when using AIDA64; the GPU stays under 70 and the CPU under 50. There was no overclocking. The drivers are current. I tried reinstalling once before, maybe I should try again since I don't remember.

DDU first, then reinstall your display drivers.
