I recently assembled my computer and for the initial days or two everything worked fine except the fans were quite loud. (This issue still persists) Gradually I began to observe that when playing Minecraft or just keeping the secondary monitor on, static would appear only at the bottom of the screen. The pattern resembled old TV static and mostly just a minor annoyance—not a serious problem, though it sometimes affects my frame rate during games. Mostly I haven’t found a solution and it’s making me a bit concerned. I’ve replaced the monitor and HDMI cable, as well as updated the drivers. I’m really stuck and would appreciate any advice. PC Parts: 32 GB DDR5 RTX 5080 Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 850-watt PSU, Motherboard from MSI – can’t recall the exact model.
Consider two approaches: one involves clearing the 5080's drivers with DDU and replacing them with a new download from NVIDIA, while the other addresses the issue of static by noting environmental factors and personal habits. Both methods reflect different strategies for resolving similar problems. Where did you acquire the 5080? Was it a brand-new item from a trustworthy seller?
Thanks, I'll give it a shot. Since it's pretty cool outside, I picked up the 5080 new from Best Buy—it's a PNY 5080, the non-RGB version.
