Hello everyone, there’s been some unusual behavior on my computer lately. I thought it would be best to reach out to this group since I’m sure someone here understands what’s going on. Whenever I start a video from any source—like VLC, YouTube HTML5, Flash Player, etc.—and pause for about five seconds, the video keeps displaying in color while the rest of the screen turns black and white. Once I resume watching, it returns to normal color, though sometimes I just need to stop the video. This seems to have started a few weeks ago, and I’m trying to figure out the cause or how to fix it. Since I have a new 1440p monitor, I don’t usually watch videos in fullscreen anymore. I suspect a video driver update might be responsible, but I haven’t found any solutions online. My search results have been limited, and I’m not getting much help from Google either. Could anyone advise me on how to disable this feature? Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

I realized my monitor might be the issue. The new Acer K272HUL is detecting video and turning the whole screen to grayscale. I’m not sure why this happens, but it’s really bothersome. I managed to disable it through the OSD settings.
