I discovered my SSD was configured as an MBR device instead of a GPT setup, which put me in CSM mode rather than UEFI. I used mbr2gpt in Windows to transform the drive. Now I can boot into BIOS via the recovery menu and choose UEFI firmware settings. However, my keyboard still won’t work, so I can’t directly press delete to open BIOS.
I needed to switch to a P/S2 keyboard at first boot to access BIOS and enable certain USB power settings, ensuring the PC started with a standard keyboard recognized.
What keyboard are you using? On Corsair models, we offer a BIOS setting that adjusts the polling rate to help access BIOS. Earlier models feature a switch beside the cables, while later versions include a multi-key combination to enter by pressing WinLock and F1.
I usually press delete. Fast boot has always been disabled. I can now restart into the bios (changed drive from mbr to gpt) from windows, just came use the keyboard during boot to enter bios which is inconvenient when testing OC's. This is a recent discovery. I used to be able to use the keyboard on this same machine to enter bios. I had everything set how I wanted it, and had no need to mess around in there anymore. Fast forward about 3 weeks and I decided to mess with memory OC, but found I can't get into bios with keyboard anymore. I also discovered that using Windows to get into the bios, my keyboard do s not work inside the bios unless I unplug it, then plug it back in. Could this mean it's a keyboard issue? I don't have another to test out.

Edit: I've reached out to MSI and Roccat support; they suggest the problem could be with the keyboard itself. I haven't found many others reporting this issue, but an Amazon review matches what I saw. One user mentioned needing a different keyboard to access BIOS settings.
