I own a 9800x3D and discovered a helpful YouTube tutorial for undervolting it. The video provided performance ratings before and after the adjustment, prompting me to compare my results. My scores are significantly lower than what appears typical for this chip. I've experimented with various online techniques, but I'm unsure if the issue lies with the hardware or just the benchmark numbers. My setup includes a Lancool 3 with 10 fans and a Lian Li Performance AIO. Gaming temperatures remain excellent even after undervolting, which makes me wonder if I'm overly concerned. Someone who posted the video mentioned performance drops in similar Gigabyte boards, though their X870 GBX boards performed fine. They suggested a possible BIOS problem and said Gigabyte generally doesn't disappoint them. The reported temperatures—like 70°C at 24V R24 and 66°C at 35V R23—seem quite high for stable operation.
