I don’t know the reason. I looked at another setup for my 5800x, which worked perfectly. I was confused because it only ran when that specific system was used, even after deleting and reinstalling it on both devices.

R23 performs adequately with the current CPU capabilities. The challenge was achieving a low MT score, which suggested a significant performance bottleneck. Many people assumed a hardware issue, but upon reviewing the screenshot, the CPU appeared mostly idle. I examined my copy of R23 and found a thread-limiting configuration. It’s possible that an unsaved setting from a questionable source altered the default. If this didn’t resolve the problem, I would have tested other Cinebench versions to compare results. I considered both software and hardware factors.
