The straightforward response is that although initial expenses are higher, over time it proves more economical and effective because Macs generally last longer.

Our approach is rooted in Apple's principles from the start. In our institution, students buy their own devices instead.

I was thinking of saying something similar. Those who aren’t familiar with PCs might be wiser to consider an Apple machine. I came across /r/talesfromtechsupport occasionally, but it mostly discusses Apple-related topics—usually just the phrase “you can't fix stupid.”

I used to have Macs at school until I entered fifth grade, after which I switched to Windows. I haven't seen a Mac in a classroom since then.

iMac priced at $1299 with education discount equals around $1100. This model features a 21.5" iPS monitor and similar specifications, running OS 1026. It lacks speakers, wireless keyboard, and mouse—those are included separately. Comes bundled with photo editing, video editing, music software, and more. Build quality is not comparable, warranty is absent, and no manufacturer support is provided.

If the funds are available, these devices are ideal for learning. Simple to operate, dependable, and require minimal upkeep after installation. A school doesn’t need gaming computers; for more demanding tasks like design, Macs still perform excellently—unless you’re using a very old model.

As mentioned by a few others, schools receive significant reductions in costs. Apple is open to offering these deals since it helps students become more comfortable with its operating system and ecosystem, encouraging them to consider purchasing its products later on.
