Hi there, Our SBS2011 server has been experiencing random freezes recently. A hard reboot usually resolves the problem. Logs are empty now, and even our colleagues haven’t identified the cause. Sometimes I notice some activity right before a freeze occurs. Network performance seems to drop, as do network shares and Exchange 2010 operations. Occasionally, when I’m working on the server, individual programs stop responding one by one until everything stops working. Pressing ctrl+alt+del has no effect; only the mouse cursor remains functional. It’s possible the taskbar clock is still active. The server runs SBS 2011 and Exchange 2010 with 8GB of RAM. There appears to be minimal software running, except possibly ESET Endpoint and Acronis Backup. We’re unsure what’s triggering these issues, suspecting Exchange usage or memory consumption might be involved.

8GB of RAM on SBS2011 is insufficient. Many systems exceed 20+ GB usage. Increase memory capacity and configure Exchange along with built-in SQL databases to establish a consistent memory limit.

Thanks for the update. We're planning to implement an additional 8GB very soon.
