My pc won't download anything faster than 17mbps but my laptop casually downloads things at 400mbps I have tried to google fixes and nothing has helped, I have even downloaded the latest drivers manually and checked every setting I could, It doesn't matter what drive I download to on my pc it all caps at 17mbps! Please help this is a very annoying issue and I don't want to wait a long time to download games, This happens on steam, ubisoft, epic games, ea and google chrome. IDK why my pc is having this issue if you have a fix please let me know!
amd ryzen 5 2600x asrock b450m steel legend with 2x8gb ram at 3200mhz corsair gigabyte 2070 super is the setup i have. my pc and laptop run smoothly on wifi, but when i connect via a lan cable, the laptop maintains quicker download speeds. the laptop features an i5-1235u core and 16gb ram, paired with geforce mx550.
