There is a particular voltage that works best, and 1.2 volts appears to be widely accepted. However, do not set or use that voltage just yet. It’s important to consider the potential trade-offs and risks involved. For more details, you can check these relevant links: https://www.thefpsreview.com/2019/08/21/...locking/6/ and https://www.thefpsreview.com/2019/08/21/...rclocking/. When evaluating your current or planned setup, keep in mind the impact on power consumption.

I mean I know I've read that it's not like I didn't google it before, but as you said I might still be "dangerouse" and furthermore I wasn't sure if that 1.2 volt mark applys also to the normal version without XT.
So there's no actual way to find out if a voltage is say or not?

Safe or not, it's possible. You might be able to wait or hold off on any action, and there could be other ways to respond to your message. I have no issues with that.

In the meantime, carefully review the User Guide/Manual and the configuration specifications. Pay attention to the fine print to understand what disqualifies the warranty.

I'd rather wait a bit longer, but I appreciate it still.

I remember reading that 1.2V is the upper voltage limit for any 5700 or 5700XT GPU. It's constrained by AMD, which means both reference cards and partner cards are affected. That said, there are methods to bypass this restriction. Power Play Table mods are one such approach. Whether a card can actually reach that voltage depends largely on its cooling performance. Generally, achieving high overclocking results involves pushing the power limit to its maximum and then lowering the voltage to the stable threshold while keeping clocks at their default settings. Maintaining cooler temperatures through under-volting helps avoid throttling, ensuring sufficient power for peak performance in bench tests.

I've learned that you can update the 5700 to 5700xt BIOS, which increases performance by 10%.
