Details: MBD - Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE - Current BIOS - Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64x CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER (MSI) RAM: 2x8GB Dual Channel DDR4 @ 1496MHz PSU: EVGA 1000W 80+ Gold Storage: 465GB PNY CS900 500GB SSD (SATA (SSD)), 931GB PNY 1TB SATA SSD (SATA (SSD))) The drive experiencing issues. The second drive is always at full capacity, never exceeding 1mbps read/write speeds unless idle (chassis light on). My boot drive works normally. The issue started about two to three days ago. Attempted solutions: cable replacement, formatting chkdsk d: /f /r, skipping scheduled updates, updating drivers and BIOS. I don’t recall any other steps, but I can verify if I missed something if you want.

Update your drive software and perform a complete Windows scan for malware. Review Task Manager to see if any heavy downloads occurred recently, especially on suspicious websites in the past few days. This site might assist: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/fix-slow-...windows-10. When running chkdsk, make sure to specify the drive letter—especially if it's a secondary disk—to avoid issues. For your PC, the command is: chkdsk G: /f. Adjust the drive letter according to your setup, as using "G" could indicate a faulty drive and may require replacement. You can share a screenshot of the Task Manager processes if needed.

As discussed earlier, the drivers and windows were updated, and the drive format was set. In my 'solutions tried' section, I had already noted the drive letter. No downloads, no suspicious sites—thanks for recommending the site, but none of the fixes worked.

Right now I believe your vehicle is functioning properly, but the performance metrics might be inaccurate. You could try launching an application or game within the car and checking how long it takes to load. That way, we can confirm whether the issue lies with the hardware or the operating system.
