I recently bought a HDPlex 500W modular power supply. I'm setting it up for a NAS with eight 3.5" HDDs. The PSU has a 4-pin SATA port with one +12V and one +5V pin (refer to the photo). If I divide it into eight sections, would the current go beyond the limit? Or should I use part of it through the CPU EPS socket instead? (Assuming I can create better quality cables.) Thanks!
