Starting with some context, I prefer the Samsung Terrible build over the two top streaming boxes I’ve seen—Apple TV 4K and Nvidia Shield TV Pro. While I haven’t switched to the Shield, I still use it for my travel box. My previous configuration was an Apple TV 4K with a Samsung Frame 2020 65-inch, paired with a couple of Apple Home Pods (Gen1) for DTS audio. After iOS 17, both devices stopped working together. I was considering a soundbar but felt the design didn’t fit. Then the Samsung S801B came along and seemed to solve everything. I’ve had trouble combining Apple TV 4K with the Samsung Frame before, but now it works smoothly. My goal has always been to keep Apple TV as the main device. Previously, when I turned it off, the Frame would revert to “Art Mode,” which was ideal. With iOS 17 on Gen1 HomePods set up for Dolby Atmos, it was a seamless living room setup. Now I own the Samsung S801B Soundbar, which pairs perfectly with the Frame. Still, when I switch everything off with the Apple TV remote, Art mode doesn’t activate. The TV also fails to wake up when I power on the Apple TV 4K. Everything used to function perfectly—I’m not sure what to ask for now, but I need help.
