Updates: http://www.samsung.com/global/business/s..._Guide.pdf Positive adjustments made to the UAC setting, allowing the app to launch without needing elevation. While it doesn’t need to run at boot, having it active is useful for monitoring performance.

The UAC alert during startup was quite bothersome. Thank you for fixing it.

Thats why its not posted in Tech News and Reviews. I do not know what is new in 1.1 but here is a PDF about RAPID in general. Its basically helps speeds up Samsung SSDs' performance: http://www.samsung.com/pl/business-image...Mode-0.pdf

I needed to enter the boot settings and turn off Magician. Now I should be able to reactivate it.

I set up Magician 4.4 on two machines today and observed a significant boost in Rapid 1.1 versus 1.0. Check out the attached image: https://plus.google.com/photos/104306706...8005414449 Dark Blue = Rapid 1.1 Light Blue = Rapid 1.0 Green = No Rapid I'm using an 840 Evo with 120GB storage on SATA3 (H87 chipset). These gains were also seen on another system (laptop with Sandy or Ivy Bridge) running the same configuration. I understand Samsung's internal tests may not be fully reliable, but these are the only outcomes I've recorded from Rapid 1.0 and none from Rapid.

I've been experiencing the same issue. The speed I get from the Samsung app is also consistent. Here are the links: http://imgur.com/eqI7EiR http://imgur.com/TeWDPxY
