I recently changed my Neo G9 to the OLED G9, but I'm encountering many black screens. The monitor came with the latest firmware 1402.6. There are numerous discussions on Samsung's official forums, including a 16-page thread about the same problem and several Reddit posts. On AVS forums, Samsung's OLED TVs are also facing the same issue; the S95C is most affected, and replacing the connect box is suggested as a solution. My local Best Buy just got three OLED G9s this weekend, including one I own. I could either swap mine for another or wait for the 2024 model, using the replacement plan. It seems the other two might also have the same problem—likely a mainboard issue, with boards being swapped for new ones. Either way, a recall seems necessary.

I experienced occasional black screens on my Samsung QN700B at times, similar to what I saw with my older screen. There are two possible solutions: 1. Lower the color depth from 12-bit to 10-bit in GPU settings. 2. Use a shorter cable, such as the 5m HDMI cable for 4K120. These adjustments are only relevant if you're connecting it to a PC or console as a display.

I'm using the same DisplayPort 1.4 cable I've relied on for three years without any problems. My Neo G9 also works fine with 10-bit selection in the Nvidia control panel, since this monitor lacks a 12-bit panel.
