Samsung G95SC struggles to exceed 120 hz in fullscreen mode
I've spent a lot of time adjusting driver settings on the monitors and still couldn't resolve the issue. The device supports a 16:9 mode that runs at the full 240hz, but when using the 32:9 setting, the monitor only displays at 120hz. An online review suggested reinstalling drivers to fix it, which I did and the problem persists. I also changed the DP cables to check if that was the cause.
Is the system configured as your main display? Have you refreshed the firmware for the screens?
I’m the only monitor I have, so I think it should be the main one. I went through the firmware again and I’m still stuck at 120hz.
Did you restart the device into safe mode and then set up a new installation? Other approaches might not help. Ensure you use premium cables and prevent bending them. You also require a GPU capable of 240 Hz output at that resolution, along with HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4 ports (using the right cables). It’s likely the included cables aren’t up to standard, which is common for any monitor, regardless of price. Cables are generally just adequate.
I’m planning to upgrade to a better cable. I might not reinstall the NVIDIA drivers in safe mode. My GPU uses a DP1.4 interface.
