Samsung CXL is known for being significantly faster than SSDs. I’m considering adding one when it becomes available. I’m a bit of an enthusiast, enjoying high-performance pre-workout drinks and building custom systems. I’ve invested in a few thousand dollars for a setup that cost around ten thousand back then, using advanced tech like U.2 and M.2 drives. Now optane is being used for gaming, which aligns with my goals. I’m curious about your thoughts on this upgrade.

Completely unreasonable. This applies to things needing quick access. Most games barely use PCIe 4.0 compared to 3.0, let alone this level of speed. Direct storage would make PCIe 4.0 more practical. CXL won’t offer any advantage over regular M.2 and U.2 cards, or Optane which mainly helps with HDDs.
