What is the processor speed during Cinebench execution? Precision Boost Overdrive may lower voltage consumption, which should decrease heat generation. However, if your CPU was throttling due to high temperatures and not hitting its full multiplier, increasing thermal allowance could push it to operate at higher frequencies, potentially raising performance until a new temperature ceiling is reached. Lowering voltage indirectly helps boost frequency when thermal or power limits are in play.

I created a video explaining the 9800X3D boost at 95°C and its impact on cooling, clock speeds, and performance. It walks through setting up fan speeds for the device. The video is straightforward, though a bit off-topic here—feel free to DM me for the link if you'd like to check it out.

This technique allows your CPU to run faster without using more power, giving you a higher boost inside the same power range. Since you're not increasing power consumption, your temperature stays lower. In situations where you need the same performance, you'll notice reduced power usage and heat output.

The negative curve signals your CPU to increase performance further. This won't assist with heat issues.
