They’re showing the same delay every time, regardless of the IP address you use. This usually means the network or connection isn’t changing much.

it seemed overly artificial, even after searching online. i checked dns like the fake pin server was correct locally, but tracing routes didn’t work. eventually, i found a different source that wasn’t the same as this one.

Tracerts take longer because it has to report back what path it took to get their. While a ping does not care about the in-between. 8ms is really good and there is no way or reason you should think it is fake or false. There is no way to fake a ping response time at all. I personally get 6ms to 8.8.8.8

I’m really sure about what’s happening, but I can’t access the tracerouter on any of the computers in the house. The router works perfectly.
