Hello everyone, I purchased two XPG D41 3200MHz 8GB RAM units during my build. Everything functions properly, though the XMP profile sometimes fails to match the actual speed after a cold boot. Manually adjusting the DRAM clock in BIOS resolved the problem, at least until a BIOS update intervenes. Recently, I decided to explore my system further and checked the motherboard (Gigabyte Aorus X570 Pro WiFi) BIOS. It showed that one of my RAM sticks uses Samsung chips while the other uses Hynix chips, and their manufacturing years differ. That’s surprising—how could identical RAM models have different chips? What are your thoughts? Am I being treated unfairly?
They might have been purchased individually rather than as a single set. If they originated together, they should match in both type and serial sequence.
