Sale of original items (it seems to be a real thing)
So yeah there is a weekend sale on origin, that's pretty rare compared to steam! Last mirror's edge, star wars battlefront and need for speed for instance are on sales! Just letting people know. That might interest some. (Personnally I have picked up mirrors edge at the price it should have been all along !)
I've only seen it a few times myself. In contrast, steam has more sales.
They ran a summer discount last year, though it seems some promotions were available before. Origin faces a lot of criticism, but I appreciate their customer service.
I've seen a lot this year, with some smaller and others store-wide, up to 75% off. I got Battlefront for £12 last month and Dead Space 3 for £4. Origin is cool, but its EA tends to get criticized. Also, only some games are available on Steam—like Mass Effect 1 and 2 are there, but not 3... that's frustrating.
Yes, many people use the origin launcher. I didn’t realize it was still around after I stopped playing BF and Titanfall. Also, some legal versions seem to have better value, though their quality is debatable. And hey, it’s getting cold already!
Those games pissed me off a little. 1 was amazing then 2 was good/decent. Three feels like a rushed game with very little actual content. Most side missions are searching planets which I just did by googling it. DIdnt bother much. Now I am just waiting to buy all the DLC before I can finish the game.
The narrative pulled me through a wave of feelings. One felt somewhat irritating because AMD CPU issues affect shadows, but overall the game was solid. I appreciated the freedom to explore the ship and Citadel without interruptions. ME2 was enjoyable, especially seeing ME1 characters, though I found their humor a bit excessive—some felt the developers leaned too hard on comedy. They seemed to portray characters as tough in 1. Three missions felt a bit dull, and I wished the side quests had more variety and less repetition. It’s bittersweet knowing I’m near the finish line. There are still two more missions left before the DLC release, and I plan to buy it. I’m confident getting a full version when it drops, and I’ll probably do another run of the game next summer with a renegade approach.
