my nvidia GT 520 has 1 gb ram and i believe it's getting too warm. i've pushed it to its limits with msi afterburner, and it stays around 36 c when idle, but during intense gaming it hits highs in the 70s, sometimes over 80 c. according to nvidia's specs, the max is 102 c, so are these temperatures typical or should i be concerned?

Yeah, I get concerned when things begin slipping into the 90s—not because of the card, but because I dislike having all that thermal energy in my case and not getting it removed quickly enough. If you're under the 90s, I wouldn't even notice.

They are indeed typical temperatures for that card.

The actual temperatures are quite typical for this card. What temperature would be considered excessive? Is it safe to operate below 90°C?

I get concerned when things begin to shift into the 90s—not because of the card, but because I dislike witnessing all that thermal energy being released into my case and not being removed quickly enough. If you're under the 90s, I wouldn't even blink. Thanks!
