Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to find out the best way to safely increase the clock speed of my i7-5960X using Asus Rampage V Extreme. I’m new to overclocking and would really appreciate your advice. Could you share the most effective solution?

My setup includes:
- Motherboard: Asus Rampage V Extreme/U3.1 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 Extended ATX Intel
- Graphics: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 980Ti AMP! Extreme 6GB
- SSD: Samsung 950 Pro 512 GB 2.5-Inch SATA III
- RAM: G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 Desktop
- Power Supply: Corsair AX1500i Digital ATX, 1500W
- CPU Cooler: SwiftTech H340-X2 Prestige Liquid
- Processor: Intel Core i7-5960X Extreme Edition
- Case: Cooler Master Ultra Cosmos II Full Tower
- Fans: Cougar 14CM CFD Green LED Hydraulic (Liquid) Bearing, ultra-silent
- Components: 1x 200mm, 2x 140mm, 3x 120mm fans (exhaust/intake)
- HDD: 3x 120mm intakes
- GPU: 2x 120mm intakes
- Rear: 1x 140mm exhaust fan

Any tips on achieving a stable and safe overclock?

Begin by checking if increasing the CPU multiplier is possible while keeping the voltage at its standard level, then progress to raising the multiplier further once the limit is reached, adding 0.05 to the voltage and continuing the adjustment.
