My S22 5G previously connected via USB-C to your ThinkPad dock, then linked the dock to your monitor using an HDMI or DisplayPort cable. It would display your phone screen using Samsung DEX, which worked well. Now it only changes the dock's light from orange to white (any device works) and shows that on your phone.

Mostly just purchasing Samsung doesn’t bother me anymore, especially not recently. Dislike the extra features. The menu navigation is terrible too. Better stick to simpler options or leave it behind.

Yes, it can be bloated with unnecessary features.

It's possible the device isn't identifying the screen correctly—try another screen or connector. If you click the DEX button, what happens next? The original poster mentioned this isn't their request. Their choice wasn't theirs. Go home. It seems there were too many Samsung apps, making it bloatware. I agree with that, though I'd prefer it optional rather than forced.

I just removed a few apps and didn’t think about them anymore. Yeah, I get what you said. Also, cheaper A-series phones usually come with ads or other stuff. Installing apps outside of Samsung can be frustrating.

She uses an A33 5G model that isn’t just any budget option. It’s not always easy to like newer releases. I once thought about getting an S20 Snapdragon, but I don’t want to settle for later models.

What are you asking? They charge a lot for trades. I could sell my mom’s iPhone 12 mini and buy the S24 128GB for 350 to 450. Trading my S22 would cost around 250.

But the software is still lacking, honestly. You can also buy a lot of Motorola for that price. The situation keeps going on, phones are. Next year Samsung should probably launch something better than this. Their business and finances work in that way...
