I bought a Ryzen 5 5600X and a B550-a Pro. Sadly, I got one that wasn’t flashed for my CPU. I used a USB stick to flash it and pressed the BIOS button on the motherboard. It seemed to work without issues; the PC restarted and everything looked normal. After confirming the BIOS update and restarting today, the CPU light came back on. I’m not sure what might have happened.

Disconnect the CMOS battery for five minutes, then reinstall it and attempt the test again.

I noticed the USB was connected, turned it off and on again, then restarted the system—it worked.

Ensure the boot disk is set as the main boot drive after installation in BIOS, then you can skip configuring many USB devices.
